1- World’s first AI tutor launched in Australia to help students get through their exams: In a world first, Australian students will have access to cutting-edge AI to act as their tutor and study guide as they enter the high school senior year exams.
2- Google’s AI-powered search experience can now generate images: Google’s Search Generative Experience now lets users create images right from a text prompt. Users can now type queries into the Google search bar and then, the program generates a few images that users can pick from.
3- AI reads text from ancient Herculaneum scroll for the first time: A student from University of Nebraska-Lincoln developed an AI technique to reveal Greek words in CT scans of rolled-up papyrus.
4- Staying ahead of virus mutations: A new AI tool, named EVEscape, about new viral variants before they actually emerge by predicting viral variants, ID most dangerous, and help make vaccines ‘future-proof.’
5- Character.AI introduces group chats where people and multiple AIs can talk to each other: Character.AI launched a group chat experience where users and their friends can chat with multiple AI characters at once. The idea is that users will be able to create social connections with friends, or share ideas and collaborate in real time, as in any other group chat experience, but with their AI companions now in the mix.
